Premiering the first US event for the biggest R/C airplanes that dare to fly! Over 70 pilots and 2000 spectators came from all over the US & Canada to attend this inaugural event in the Florida sun. From jets to J3 Cubs this event has it all, so get ready for one monster of a show! Held at Lake Wales, FL, this event boasts 3000 feet of paved runway, offering plenty of room for even the largest models to take off. Highlights include Robert Levine's tricked out BAE Hawk (cover); Jim Record's Gee Bee (above) with custom paint and a DA-150 engine, weighing in at 35 lbs; Jim Messer's Piper J3 Cub (below) is his own design, with a DA-100 engine and weighing 42 lbs; Merlyn Graves Bristol Blenheim bomber, with twin DA-100 engines at 97 lbs.; and Bob Gonzalez's 30% Waco YMF-5 with a RCS 215 5 cylinder Radial ENGINE, weighing 53 lbs.
