DV341 10th Jet World Masters

$10.00

Every two years the world’s finest radio controlled model jet pilots bring their methodically-detailed models together to compete for the honor of being crowned one of the Jet World Masters. This 2-disc program is filmed at the 2013 event, which was held deep in the Swiss Alps at the Meiringen Air Base, home to 11 Squadron of the Swiss Air Force. Set against sublime mountainside scenery, this film gives you over two and a half hours of footage, featuring lots of flying time, in-depth inspections of some of the notable models, and interviews with pilots, engineers and officials. As well as detailed coverage of the competition flying, including occasional commentary by David Gladwin, the program includes lots of bonus footage, including a talk with Vitaly Robertus’ about the innovative construction methods he’s used on his incredible scale Yak-130, which won the 20 kg category. Join David Gladwin as he looks at the finer points of the full-sized Swiss Air Force F/A-18 Hornet that was on show during the event. We also talk to US competitor David Ribbe who reveals how he achieved the extraordinary natural metal finish on his MiG 15. Plus lots more, including an interview with Philip Avonds, whose Fouga Magister model won the competition in 13.5 kg Class, and a unique, up close look at the unusual PZL TS-11 Iskra model that was entered by the Taiwan team.  This event is the culmination of years of hard work for the teams and pilots. If you want to see the very best scale models and the latest technology available to modelers, then this event is the one to watch!
